Silver Fork Lodge is a bed and breakfast nestled in the Wasatch National Forest’s Big Cottonwood Canyon, only 11 short miles from Salt Lake City, but a million miles in attitude. This Utah B&B, overlooking Honeycomb Canyon and Solitude Ski Resort, provides “an atmosphere thought to be forgotten.” With authentic “ski lodge” style living, this is your venue for the most memorable summer or ski vacation.
Cool Summer Lodging
Coming to Salt Lake City for any reason? Stay in the beautiful alpine setting of Big Cottonwood Canyon, only 30 minutes from downtown. Silver Fork Lodge is the perfect alternative to crowded area hotels — it’s your best lodging option, B&B-style, any time of the year.
Silver Fork’s rich history dates back to the 1850s when the area was a tent city for miners. The southwest corner of the lodge was once a general store that served area miners and their families. Trees in the area were used for shingles on the LDS Salt Lake Temple.
Silver Fork Lodge Bed & Breakfast is located 1 mile from Solitude Ski Resort and 3 miles from Brighton Ski Resort. Just out the door, you have access to back country skiing and snowshoeing. Transportation is available to and from the Salt Lake International Airport and the resorts. Dan Knopp, owner, is available to coordinate all of the special arrangements that you and your party may need to round out a satisfying vacation.
Book Ski Lodging Early
Rooms book well in advance for prime weekends during the ski season. Accommodations may be available on short notice for other times but you should book as far in advance as possible to get the dates you desire.
